Each of our pilots holds Airline Transport Pilot certificates and Class 1 Medical Qualification, the highest requirements for the FAA, and is type-rated as a Pilot in Command (captain) on our Hawker 800.
Bob Bloemer - Captain, Director of Operations -
Bob started flying in 1975. Before joining Shamrock Aviation in 1997, he served over 20 years in the USAF and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He flew the RF-4 operationally and taught pilot training in the T-38. Bob holds type ratings for the Boeing 737, Gulfstream IV, Challenger 604, and Global Express.
Mike Ryan - Captain, Chief Pilot -
Mike's aviation career began in 1986 with the US Navy where he served more than 7 years as an A-6 pilot. He joined the Shamrock family in 1996 and is type-rated in the Boeing 737, Learjet 55, Gulfstream IV, Challenger 604, and Global Express.
Ernie Phillips - Captain, Director of Training -
Ernie began his flying career in the USAF in 1981. After serving as an F-15 and C-141 pilot for more than 10 years, he moved into civilian aviation. He started out in the commercial airline sector and transitioned to corporate aviation with Shamrock in 1996. He is type-rated in the DC-9, Learjet 55, Gulfstream IV, Challenger 604, and Global Express.
Rick Taglang - Captain, Safety and Security Chief -
Rick started flying in 1985. He is the newest member of the Shamrock team, joining us in 2005 after serving nearly 21 years in the USAF. He is a combat veteran and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after a distinguished career flying the B-52 operationally and teaching pilot training in the T-1 (Beechjet 400A equivalent). Rick holds type ratings for the Learjet 40/45, Challenger 604, and Global Express.
